Image
Contributed The multi award winner Daddy Andre teamed up with the fast rising high-life artist Neliah (both are from Uganda) to craft a perfect single produced by Andre on the Beat himself from Studio Black Market 256 that is likely to move their music fans with more fun and excitement. Both artists signed by America- based Black Market Records have solo projects already going on well with Daddy Andre having recently released ''Omwana Wabandi'' whereas Neliah, the budding female artist on the hand dropped a Live Session debut of her solo studio project 'Crush' which has been well received with reasonable airplays. BTS' Top Songs on the Billboard Hot 100 - Billboard

Image
No one can deny BTS' impact on not just K-pop but music as a whole. With members of ARMY (the name of their extremely loyal fanbase) stationed all over the world, RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook have reached Beatles-like levels of superstardom most musical acts can only dream of achieving. The septet has come a long way since debuting as a hip-hop group in 2013 under a virtually unknown label. They made their first major move on the Billboard charts in 2017 when their album Love Yourself: Her emerged at No. 7 on the Billboard 200, becoming the highest ever debut for a K-pop act. The album's lead single "DNA" was their first entrance on the Hot 100, but the chart moves don't end there. Their first all-English-language single "Dynamite" became their first to debut at the summit in 2020. A number of their other tracks have made history on the charts since, including collaborations with Halsey, Nicki Minaj, Coldplay and more. Continuing to...

Jay-Z's Top 30 Songs That Are Billboard Hits - Billboard

Image
It's certainly a feat when you're one of the most successful hip-hop artists of all time. Since 1996, Jay-Z continues to leave his mark on the world, from hip-hop and beyond, by releasing material favored by the masses both as a soloist and collaborator to music's biggest stars — not limited to Mariah Carey, Justin Timberlake, Coldplay, Kanye West and, of course, his wife Beyoncé. In addition to his 13 studio albums, 24 Grammy awards and over 100 tracks that have landed on Billboard's Hot 100, he launched Roc-A-Fella Records in 1995 and talent management company Roc Nation in 2008, and bought and rebranded streaming service Tidal in 2015. As the first hip-hop artist to join Forbes' billionaires club, he also has a strong investment portfolio with stakes in Elon Musk's SpaceX, Uber, milk-alternative company Oatly and Rihanna's Savage X Fenty, among several others. It would seem that Jay wouldn't have as much time to commit to music considering his many...

Fact Check: Is The Sperm Whale The Loudest Animal On Earth? - indie88.com

Image
The Loudest Animal Is Not Always The Largest Animal I'll start this out with a spoiler alert for you: The loudest animal in the world is the blue whale. Its calls can be heard up to 160 km away and measure up to 188 decibels. So is the sperm whale the loudest animal on earth? Technically no. However, when you're talking about the technicalities behind the 'loudest animal in the world', you need to consider size in relation to noise, as well as a few other factors. Because of this, the blue whale may be the 'loudest' animal on the planet. However, the pistol shrimp, with its super high frequency snap of its claws, registers 190 decibels… and it only weighs about 50 grams. The sound, however, can only be heard within a few centimetres, which renders it lower on the noise scale. You can see how the question 'what's the loudest animal' has a lot more detail than you may have thought! Is The Sperm Whale The Loudest Animal On Earth? Image: @and...

Every Muse album ranked from worst to best - Louder

Image
Watching footage of Jimi Hendrix setting fire to his guitar onstage, 15-year-old Devon schoolboy Matt Bellamy had an epiphany: "I suddenly realised that music didn't have to follow rules but could be full of chaos," Muse's frontman recalled. "Essentially, we approach music the same way Monty Python did comedy." Six consecutive UK number one albums testify to Muse's mainstream appeal, but not since Queen has there been a major league British rock band so wholly unfettered by notions of taste and restraint, an attitude wholeheartedly endorsed by Brian May, a long-time fan. "I like the way they let their madness show through," the guitarist once stated. "That's always a good thing in an artist." Ahead of the release of the trio's forthcoming ninth album, Will Of The People , due in August, here are Muse's eight studio albums ranked from worst to best. 8. Drones (2015) With famously-disciplined studio veteran Robert 'Mutt...

Cultural Metal From Around the World Is Gaining Ground Thanks to TikTok - Loudwire

Image
TikTok opened up a whole new avenue for music fans to discover emerging heavy bands. Now, a rising surge of cultural metal from around the world has made inroads on the video-sharing app known for breaking social media influencers and bolstering viral trends. And these bands are heavy — in both performance and purpose. For a few stellar examples, we're highlighting here the U.S. deathcore act The Order of Elijah, the Japanese-Korean metalcore band Prompts, the Indian folk-metal group Bloodywood, and the Korean metalcore outfit End These Days. Listen to a song from each at the bottom of this post. While this is just a brief look into the world of cultural metal, it does give a snapshot of how international bands can find new fans on TikTok, even if they aren't on the app themselves. Often, an unofficial clip from a TikTok user will draw eyes to a band, giving that group the kind of exposure to a uniquely disparate v...
